TellicoGriz, you should post some of those pics from Tellico. I will be going there this spring/summer and would like to see some good pics. I don't have a winch. Sounds like it will be a challenge.

Tellico is great. Try to go there on a 3-day weekend because thats when a lot of the trucks go there. Its so much fun watchen the jeeps take that place on. and its funny seeing the base camps int he middle of the woods with guys rebuilding their transmissions right there. you see some tricked out trucks, even ran into a few rails there (i dont know what they were doing there.) i think im gonna go back there this year agian. its a 10 hour drive from one end of NC to the other (literally) and its worth it.

10 hours??? Quite a way! Defiantely you will see some very MEAN looking vehicles, this past trip, I saw a Toyota Tacoma Cab truck sitting on 72" Ag Tractor tires, with a 350! It was mean! Unless I go with a friend who has a custom Hybrid, I usually pack me a little lunch and head out to slick-rock or the Rock Garden, you can stay there for hours watching vehicles try to make it! The best time to go for me for simply watching the vehicles is during one of the annual jeep jamborees! ALOT of people there!

i havent ever been there but i have some friends that usually go. they have a purple jeep on 44 boggers, orange jeep on 42 boggers, old scottsdale on 39.5 swampers, a red yota on 36 swampers, a blue yota on 36 thornbirds front and 36 boggers back. they just put the 39.5 swampers on the red yota. they have a real good time up there. have any of yall ever seen em. o yea, they used to have a green chevy custom with the bed cut off. it was a bad machine.
