I am new to MN and live in the Northern Suburbs of Minneapolis (maple Grove that is) I was wondering about trail systems or other nice areas to ride in within about an hour to an hour and a half of here and even western wisconsin if thats better for riding . I have searched on the internet but have only come up with a few spots that are to far away for an every other weekend trip so please if anyone knows where some good places to ride are i would be grateful thanks alot My email is Kliewer@comcast.net

Is there anything around Elk River or Zimmerman, maybe even st. cloud. I just got a new blaster before I moved to MN I really want to get it out. Is it going to be a 2 hour drive for anthing worth while, I live in Maple Grove, MN. I am not that concerned with the riding as of right now but more when it gets warm again, is there anything that opens up in the spring.

mn dnr
Heres the web site for minn dnr, which regulates atvs. In the printed version, which can be had at any license office, it shows , that you can ride ditches, roughly from hwy 95 and north.South of hwy 95 is considered farm land. You could try to call the county, or local dnr office and ask them for areas.

Hey MKnot im also in Maple Grove (2 miles W of 494) Do you have sport or utility? What type of riding do you like? I think the closest is about 1 hour away off 35w in (20 min east of Hinkley Casino)Danbury with the St.Croix trails and another system going more into Wisconsin. Or with a little more drive time go North on hwy 169 to Isle, MN. near Lake Mille Lacs just off Soo Line trail is Red Top which is a descent trail. As far as riding ditches I believe you need to go kinda far out of the city, legally. But I see people even ridin in Maple Grove here and there mainly where all the construction is going up and into Corcoran.
