I was just out there 2 weeks ago and none of the 3 ATVs we had were rejeted and they all ran just fine and we were up to about 6800 feet over by O'Neil Pass and the WY border acording to the GPS. You can get a good map of the Black Hills from the Forest Service Visitors Center in Rapid City or at the Pactola Resevior Visitor Center.

We are planning a trip also for next year.
Is there a campground w/ hookups that you can ride out to the trails on your atvs?
The wife and I are in our 50's and we have a 75 yr. old rubicon rider with us.
Thanks!

There are a lot of campgrounds in the Black Hills but I can not think of any that are right on the trails that would have hook ups for your camper. You could check with the Nemo Guest Ranch in Nemo to check out what they offer for campers. I know they have cabins and a campground close but I don't know about the hook ups. From Nemo there is riding on the Centennial trail that would run North & South from there. If I come up with anything else I will post it.
Have fun riding.

I would avoid the Nemo guest ranch. Someone posted on anouther site that they rented a cabin and no one is suposed to go in there duruing the time you have it. They left there weding ring and a expensive wach and a few other things on a dresser and went for a ride. When they came back to the cabin they where gone. THe owner said oh well sory. They set up a system the rest of the week to see if the dore was opened while they where gone and 3 or 4 more times the dore was opened during the day when they where out on the trail. I would imagine that the camp site would be OK if you had your own camper. I have stayed at Wild Bills campgrounds a few times. It is south of Dead Wood abought 5 miles. Not a very big campground and I am not sure if it had hookups or not but I did see a few campers in it. We rented the cabin and it worked fine for us. We rode out of camp but the trails where not rite there, we had to ride down the gravel road that went out the back of camp to acces the trails.
