Here

This area isn't the greatest we all know this. It has one road that leads West to the cafe thats at the corner of hwy 2 and 138. I want to try to cross hwy 138 and head west into Pinon hills or the Wrightwood area.

I was wonderin if anybody knew how and where to cross 138 so as not to get smashed by a Japanese tourist or 18-wheeler. There's gotta be millions of trails out here. I bet that many riders that live in Phelan, Pinon Hills and Wrightwood ride to the cafe so there's gotta be a way west.

I found a site with good arial views of this area. There is a trail that crosses just south of the restaurant.

If you click the link you can see where the 2 hwy's meet, you can see the restaurant, their parking lot and the atv/dirtbike trails that go there. Pan South to see where to cross 138.

Whos up for a rideArial view of the area.

On the forest service map, the area to the north is private land, and to the south is national forest, with a bit of BLM here and there.

No update yet. I was gonna ride up there from home (30 miles one way) sunday but the weather was weird. I didn't want to get caught in a hailstorm or down pour.

If you could stop by and ask them if anybody has a problem with us going to the area across the hwy that would be great.
