The idea that they took out the bridge could probably mean that the Rails to Trails aren't going to keep the land from reverting to it's rightful owners as they have done several times in the past. Rails to Trails only wants things that are nice, level and easy to access. It will be hard for people to get off the one side of where the bridge was and climb up to the other side. If the bridge would have stayed there, I would have bet that the land stealers would have a hiking, non-motorized bike path there. Now I'm not so sure.
