good luck with the road going up to the parking lot. It's pretty bad. I would go in at the ind. park down to the camp grounds. that raod is way better and it's free.</end quote></div>
Yeah the entrance needs some work. But the way you suggest is ok as long as you don't enter over the railroad which is called tresspassing on private property which is illegal.

Any one out there rode the forbidden zone or oak tree recently ? Looking to do some fall camping /riding/fishing/etc . Last time we rode oak tree the loggers had changed the landscape so much that we could'nt find our way out. We ride hillsville and love it ,but we enjoy riding wellsville. 2old mudders

I was there on good Friday. We parked at the oak tree camp ground. We talked to Dave (the owner) and he said the camp ground will be open for another year 1/1/09.
We bought a camp sight for this year at the oak tree camp for one year for $500.00.
We rode down to the entrance off the road by the river across the tracks and there was a few people parked there riding around. Everything seems the same.
The riding was excellent! muddy but fun! The creeks were deep and all the hills were tough with all the new wash outs.
Killer is washed out at the bottom (guys on bikes were climbing it with no run way), chicken coop is rocker than ever but make able.
We rode over by the Forbidden zone and all is well over there, there is camping and everything else you could want over there as well. We rode all day and never once got a chance to drive by scooby doo (the big attraction by the Forbidden Zone Camp Ground) to check it out. http://www.myspace.com/forbiddenzoneatv

yeah dave (oaktree) did call me and told me he would be open for another year. i was down there actually on tuesday of this week. just to check out our camp ground and clean it up. also alot of the campers have been broke into in our section; mine was too was and the door was left wide open for all the snow and rain to get in. i dont know why you would want in our camper all thats in there is matresses and some cheap lawn furniture. it would be nice if they would quit breaking out windows for no reason. but anyways just dont leave anything vauble down there.

Yeah man I saw those campers with the doors hanging open,, I was going to go over and close the doors on the campers but i was in fear somebody would think I was the one stealing stuff.
My buddy's camper got broken into last year and the same thing ,,they took 2 couch cushions and his propane tanks off the camper. I really think its a bunch of local kids.
My other buddy they stole his firewood,, how lame.
I rode over by the forbidden zone and I also noticed campers with there doors hanging wide open. Sucks people got to be jerks.
