Yep, we just camp on the beach with the RV and trailer (making sure to stay off the really soft sand of course). Yeah, give them another call - something's not right there.
This time we know to bring plywood to put across the other side of the RV so the sand doesn't whip through the bottom and sandblast our feet (and the dogs) when we're sitting outside.

Ours is just a 26' (we had to get what would fit in our driveway) and we're pulling a 6x12 trailer, but I've seen lots of bigger ones there too. Last time we were there the RV next to us got stuck and had to hire that Hummer with the tank rails on it to pull them out. We just make sure we stay where the sand is a little firmer, closer to the water, but not too close! Now that I think of it, the last time we were there we had our old toyhauler, but hubby thinks this one will be fine too.

I have seen a few RV's on the beach but the toy hauler setup pulled by a 4X4
would be the way to go.
I may just show up in my old 79 chevy 3/4 ton 2wd thrasher and camp in a tent,
(but I doubt it, lol).
I would like to be over there on Fathers Day though ???

Yeah, I think our RV (Class A) will be ok, that thing's like a hot rod anyway - has a Chevy Workhorse 8.1 in that small/light of a motor home . . . has more than enough power, and husband always comes prepared in case we get stuck. He's always helping other people get un-stuck when we're out.
I'm so spoiled, I don't think I could ever do the "tent" thing again!

You toy hauler/RV people suck! j/k. Nothing like putting up a tent at 3 in the afternoon with the May winds over there. Or trying to take it down.... About the only nice thing with a tent is I don't have to wait around. Wait for the rest of the crew to dump (so prefer to travel wet for the more stable ride though) can take a while. At least that's what I keep trying to convince myself.

If there's a long line at the dump (or where we go there usually isn't even a dump, period), we'll just wait until we get home. Fortunately, there's a free one near our house.
Just the thought of tent camping makes my skin crawl! I hate how "dirty" I feel and I don't sleep well at all, and I'm too cold or hot. I need my little luxuries - I'm too much of a "girly girl" ha ha

I know what you mean ridin. That's why I love Hollister. Free, hot showers. Though last time they were almost too hot. It's Wendesday and my hands are finally clean! Between greese and embedded dirt it takes forever for my hands to get clean.
I'm one of the lucky ones of the group I was with last weekend. Most of them have like a 5-6 hr drive to get home. It ranges from 2.5-3 hrs for me. By the time they roll in, I'm home, unloaded, put up and taken a shower.
I'm back to Pismo this weekend.
