Memorial Day Riding in California, where is everyone going ???
#41
Well I and my Son just got back from Pismo, we went for the day Thursday.
I can say I like dirt far better than sand !
Even thought it was smooth from hardly any riders there, there isn't a lot of ground to ride
and that DAMN SAND gets in all the parts and makes for slave cleaning.
I will definetly not be going back until the weather is too hot and I don't have a choice.
Will be sticking to Hungry Valley and other high altitude cool riding spots when ever possible.
In my opinion the beach is for swiming, surfing and of coarse looking at Girlies.......

LOL Mike. Yeah, it can be a total PITA. I usually end up there as my regular group just loves the place. I'm going to try and get more people up into Miami and other parts of the forest...as long as I can find room for Toy Haulers, RVs, etc.
I'll be riding up at Miami MC Trails next weekend I believe. Or in that area if you are interested. It's probably 1hr 45 min north for you.

Did you take your RV there? Yeah, last time I was there the sand was a pain and I'm not a big fan of salt-water either. Every 10 minutes I was sweeping another 5 lbs. of sand out of the RV again. Whenever we go riding, on the way home we always stop by one of those "jet wash" places and wash everything off while it's on the trailer before we get home. It's much easier that way.
Well, we go to Hungry Valley quite a bit so we'll have to meet up sometime! I have to say, that's my all-time favorite place to ride.

The more the merrier I say! I love going out with big groups. We have a big group of friends who we go out with, but they only go like twice per year - oh please! Why even bother having all the toys if you're not going to use them? We paid too much $$ to just let them sit there - we want to ride before we're too old to do it.
Unfortunately, I don't know how to post any pictures - don't I need a scanner?
