Hey Guys and Gals, discovered a new place to ride in southwest Michigan!!! A place in Niles, MI (15 minutes east of Red Bud) called APP Performance. Open Rides will be on Saturday from 9-6, flags are mandatory as are spark arrestors, cost from what I have been told will be $20.00 per quad, $5.00 per person. It was explained to me that three guys could come out with one quad and all take turns riding. Makes sense to me. There is also an accessory shop and repair shop on the grounds. I think this place is a 100 acre gravel pit that has trails, hill climbs, sand drags, and mud pits. I will going there this coming weekend and let all know how it is.

 

Well how was it?

 

WOW!!! A great place to ride. The owner, Brian was out there riding all day with us, very accomodating, there are several trail systems, not very long but fast! and enjoyable. The really fun part is hillclimbing their P-Stone pile and riding the trails that surround it a good mix of loose sand, gravel and hard pan. Brian has even built a 500ft drag race track to test your buddies or him. Not many out there could come close to beating him on his Banshee. At the moment you need to bring your own flags. In the future he will be doing a flag rental and purchase. Also, there is a full repair shop and accessory shop on the grounds. Same guy Brian runs it all. very professional nice, laid back place. Bring plenty of fuel you will use all that you can. Grounds are open Saturday 9am-6pm. Hope to see you there.

Do you know if they let the kids ride on the trails..???
My kid wants to go "somewhere" so bad he cant stand it....!!!
To bad the state of MI will allow "stupid" 40 yr olds to ride the trails, but not educated 6 yr olds....[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

I am not sure what the areas are, but if you talk to Brian I am sure that he can come up with some trails for your son. He has an 8 year old and can empathsize.

Talked to Brian today, he is currently looking for a source for insurance. If anyone know of any, please let me know.
