Hey slidesquad, when do you plan on going? Pismo in July is unbeatable and looks like your bike is set up right for it. Maybe u or anyone from our area can organize a group ride. I haven't been there since Memorial Day.

You mean Labor Day weekend? I always get those screwed up too. You should consider hearding to Sand Mtn. NV for Labor Day. They have their annaul DS Days going on with DS riders from all over the west showing up. Lots of fast 4-strokes and much much better sand dunes than Pismo.

slidesquad, almost all the forum members will be heading out to sand mtn NV for DS Days labor day weekend. You should really consider it. I think its about the same distance from where you are to either pismo or sand mtn and sand mtn is by far better than pismo. Plenty of people to help you out riding the dunes too.

www.sandmountain-nv.org

You can get a bunch of info off there. Friend of mine lives in the bay area(lafayette to be exact) and it takes him 5-6 hours to get there.

its not hard to dune. You just have to watch for drop offs and razor backs. Whenever you come to the top of a dune dont go straight over it, parallel the top of it to see the other side then drop off it. Also dont stop up hill.
