It is up near ukiah. About 2 hours north of San Francisco. There are endless trails and a great fire road that is 17miles long from Ukiah to Lakeport.

I joined the forum a while ago and was planning on doing a review on my wifes Yamoto 150.Just have not gotten around to it yet. As for Carnegie, I have been riding there since 1974 and it is definiteley not for beginners. Although I do see a lot of quads there when I am there.I personally avoid the place like the plague during the summer months. It is like riding on "Marbles on glass" when it is dry. I would also not reccomend going into the hill's for the first time alone either, unless you come out exactly the same way you went in. Now when it rains or has rained the park is an absolute blast.Seem's to have a completely different personality then.Hope this help's and or save's some one a trip to the hospital.

Well I normally don't ride at carnegie during the summer, but the wife is having surgery on her foot next friday and she wanted to ride her yamoto so off we went. Took my 2 boy's 17 & 18 and their girlfriend's. Taught one of the girlfriend's to ride the honda 50. Then reminded the boy's about riding at carnegie in the summer, like marbles on glass, and we headed out on to the MX track. We had not made 3 laps when I spotted a fallen rider behind a berm. By the time I got to him another rider's dad had just got to him. He had gone over the back of a berm and fell approx. 8-10 feet. At first he thought he was ok, just shook up. Then we realized he was in shock and had a very busted up elbow. They closed down the track while the ambulance loaded him up and took him away. We had just gotten to carnegie at about 8:00 am and it was not even 9:30 yet. I know I am repeating myself from my last post, but please be careful if you ride at carnegie when it is not wet. This guy was in his late 30's, maybe early 40's, said he had been to carnegie lot's of time's, had all his gear on and still left in an ambulance.

Carnegie is not suited for quads, some water head usually rolls his out there every weekend, and since the Taliban has gained power there (Rude Rangers) I will not return. Hollister is so much nicer the Rangers are really friendly the trails are nice and the quad track is well cared for usually always watered. The adobe side of the park can really be fun after a good rain. The high road and the ridge road are really cool rides that offer good views of the park.
