Met up with Jeff today in Hayti, MO and rode the river gravel/sand bars...had a great time. Excellent drag racing conditions that goes on for miles. If dragging isn't your thing there are miles and miles of dirt/gravel farm roads that would be a blast to explore. Along the farm roads there are trails that shoot off to Timbuctwo. I'm confident to say that you could ride for a week and not see everything. This place has it all in large doses. Riding is free and unregulated. No house around for it is in a flood plain behind the levy. Very worthy place to ride.
Anyone game for a Fall group ride?

Yes, it was a great day of riding and racing. Down on the Mississippi you find out just how trail friendly your bike is. This seperates the bikes that are riders from the all out race bikes. You have to be able to get to the gravel bar ,but you have to go on a trail ride to get there.
Sandragggen made the long haul and road all day with out smashing his exhaust pipe .But next time, don't forget the W-D40 . LOL
Then it was an all you could eat fish buffet that put the end on a fun day.
Looks like there could be a Fall ride.

There was a couple of close calls smashing the pipe. When we got to the sand bar you had to cross a water puddle about 12' wide and 1-1.5' deep. Water got in my Lectron carb and cause the thumb throttle to be super stiff. I would have paid $100 for a can of WD-40. We ended up dripping oil from my oil tank dip stick to free things up. Lectron carbs ARE NOT built for 1-1.5' water holes. All you can eat fish was excellent and so was the peach cobbler.
