Coming to Northern Colorado this weekend for about 5 days of riding!

Would someone provide some specific ideas on the best places to ride? I am already familiar with the Walden dunes. I lived in the Ft. Collins area during college and my wife is a Ft. Collins native.

I've riden in other areas of CO, but never in the northern areas. Are there any places to stay (cabins, etc.) in the mountains and closer to the trails? Are most of the good trails in the area out of Poudre Canyon?

Any advice would be great!

Thanks!

Hey Monkeys, Welcome to Colorado.

Check out www.ATVColorado.com for some pictures and directions to trails in Colorado. You may want to look into Rollinsville. I don't know much about it, but have heard it's not a bad place to go.

Lots of riding in that part of the state, not a whole lot up the Poudre canyon, but there is some. Go over to Here and check out the Rocky Mountain Rock Hopper section, LOTS of folks very familiar with the area.

Immediate areas are Kelly and Buckhorn. Many more further away.
Directions here:

I'd suggest Buckhorn/Moody Hill for a weekend. Many miles of trails all over back in there, can ride all weekend and never ride the same trail twice. Lots of spots to camp primative too. (That's how I do it. Pull up in the Jeep with a trailer, go as far as I can that way and setup camp. Unload the bikes and go from there.)
