it's out in va, I think i told you about it. We went out there 23 deep right before they closed for repairs. it's a cool spot we went up and came back on the same day.
It's a little rockey in spots but you can ride on some nice trails and it's FREE!! which made it that much better. We went out with 23 and 15 came back unhurt.

Hey what's up Mike! So are you getting out of offroading or ATV riding all together? Have fun with your R1. Be cautious riding it now not just because it's cold that's nothing but be careful with all the road salt that has been laid down everywhere! This stuff can be like marbles under your street bike. I know....been close but lucky riding my 2 Harley's.....
On another note I plan on purchasing a new atv this time a big quad (2007 Honda Rincon w/GPS) can't wait! I'm tired of watching all those guys pass me through the thick mud and deep puddles with their 4x4 quads.....It's my turn!

There are no good (safe or legal) spots in Maryland unless you are on private property. The southern atv park is lame. Do yourself a favor and either drive to Tower City in Pennsylvania or do a weekend down to Hatfield McCoy in West Virginia. We had a fantastic spot in Northeast, but like alot of good spots, sooner or later there's way too many people and the cops end up rolling in and handing out tresspasing tickets or impounding the quads. We do sometimes ride the trails off the CSX tracks in Perryville but even that is not legal. There is also a place near Winchester, Virginia called the Cove but its very rocky and you would best be suited riding a 4x4 utility. Also 8 Bees and Paragon in Pennsylvania are worth the drive. I'd rather drive two hours to a spot that I know is legal and geared for 4 wheelin than risk a $500 ticket or getting my truck broken in to or several thousands of dollars worth of quad impounded. Just my two cents....good luck finding a spot. Out of the ones I mentioned I would recommend Tower City. It's over 13000 acres of trails and managed by a local ATV club. It's $40 to try it for a day or $300 for a year membership and it's open 365 days a year. You can also camp there and ride all weekend.

Hey Sat4314,
You are right....sadly there aren't too many safe places here in MD either it's private property and you have to watch out for cops handing out fines or waiting to impound your sh*t. I've been to "Paragon" a few times it's a pretty cool place and reasonably priced too at only around $25. Gets a little crowded at times but what are you going to do.. You forgot to mention "Taskers Gap" which is in VA. I beleive and it's totally free! They close sometimes during the year for maintance but it's best to check out information on the web. My friends have recently been to "the Cove" and they said that they've had a blast so far and they all ride sport quads. I've been to the Tower City area before but not actually to the park but we parked close by I believe and rode for hours and hours without paying anything. At that time I didn't really know that a paid ATV park was there. And of course, if you want to make the trek there's Hatfield & McCoys like you mentioned is supposed to be one of the best offroad parks on the east!
