Hey...I think our group may be riding out there this weekend...on Sunday if we can. We can help with the trash clean up. Let us know.

We heard a rumor that GRDA may shut it down because of the trash. I wonder if they would let people come in and keep it clean and if that would help preserve that area. We sure would help since it is almost 30 minutes from us. Keep us informed!

what kind of drums do you have? Are they metal open head or plastic?? I can get some metal open heads..

Race,
Anyone can clean up the place when ever they would like.. GRDA was in force because there was a stolen camero burned out in the back.. And they were looking for it... They are talking about Shutting it down do to some riders drag racing on the steet(thats why myself and about 6 others built a strip in the bottom) and the other reason is the large amount of trash left around.. I have ridin there for years and it has gotten very bad this year from the amount of new riders finding the riding area and disreguarding the enviornment in the area..

I figured we should all go out and clean up at once...might be good on everyone's part. We'll be glad to help a group of people out there or just 1 or 2 out there. We're ready to go out for the first time to ride...

OH I miss understood.. I will have a group of guys helping do some clean up.. If you get there early sunday it is slow and that is the best time to do some cleaning.. We will be out Fri,Sat,Sun working here and there...We wont be able to get it all but it will take out about 50-75% of the trash and then it will be prevention and more cleaning here and there..

Spud,

The barrels I have are metal, open top barrels. Sounds like you have it covered though. If you end up needing some just let me know.

Racechick....Once you see the area you will have a better understanding of what Spud is talking about. I have personally witnessed some of the younger crowd drinking beer and throwing the cans on the ground when they get done. Not only have I seen it in the parking areas, but also on the trails themselves. Unfortunate IMO. We were riding at the sand bottoms about a month ago and a few of them were throwing their beer cans in the sand when they got done with them. We made it a point to pick them up right in front of them. I seem to remember getting some weird looks in return.....trust me, we weren't too worried about it. I will be the first to admit I'm not perfect. There's just a time and place for everything in life. Our riding areas are not the place for drinking and littering.

Come on over and enjoy. We hope to get the shop done soon so we can get back over and try out some of our new mods.

I should know if I need some of your drums by the end of the week... we are out of them right now Im hoping they will get some in by the end of the week so I can take them down.. If not I will be taking a box of trash bags with me.. That will get the job done for the time being...

Don't confuse me with RaptorGuy27...he's not my bro in law...ok, just kidding...he is...but we don't claim each other at all unless one of us wins the lottery!!! Anyways, yep we're going to Salina this weekend. I can't wait to check it out.
