I am also from OK, I ride at Lake Murray and Little Sahara. What all was involved in building a drag strip? The only place to drag at Murray, has recently had three-foot whoops added by the park rangers. If the state will allow us, my group is interested in building a drag strip and doing some park cleanups, if they will let us. Just wondering what hoops you had to jump through to do some renovations at your area...

 

We didn't actually build it ourselves. It just so happens that there was a large, smooth, flat area with some so so dirt on it for us to use as a drag strip. I believe they said it was about 300 yds long or so. I guess we just lucked out. Dunno?
