Default Riding in Palmdale California ??

Im just getting back into riding. I just got two quads. I like to take the family riding and my 7 year old son is new to riding. Is there riding spots in Palmdale California ?? If so, where?

Dove Springs/Jawbone Canyon, north on the 14 just past Red Rocks campground. Mostly easy trail rides, some decent hillclimb challenges at the "Wall", always a hoot watching the 2-wheelers jump the trail there. It's BLM (I think) land, open camping OK, not too many yahoos. Going this weekend, see ya there

If you just want local stuff right near Palmdale can't help you there, but for general So. Calif. high desert, there are a lot of choices:

Jawbone/Dove Springs, El Mirage, San Bernardino Mtns., Rowher Flats, Hungry Valley, Johnson Valley, Stoddard Valley, Kennedy Meadows, etc.

I use to live in Littlerock a great place to ride never no problems and nobody there, take 138 through littlerock to 82nd street at the light turn right it will curve around follow the dirt road to the power lines there is an old track there lots of trails and some fun riding. Use to live there when I was a kid I know all the trails there is a spot to cross the road lots of hills in the back enjoy......

My brother lives betweem Rosemond and Mojave and we use to ride ALL of that area, from the 14 to the foot hills from Rosemond to Soledad Mnt. and out to Willow Springs and watch the races. But I have heard you may get hassled if you park just anywhere, so it would be best if you knew someone around there where you could park.

DISCLAIMER: I don't know if it's legal to ride around there but we never got hassled.
