My dad and I are going to Hatfield-McCoy in WV next weekend (March 31-April 3), this place looks awesome. Anybody been and have advice for riding areas? Anybody going to be there at this time? I hope it is good because it is going to take 7.5 hours to get there from Ohio.

Hatfield McCoy is awesome. If I won the lottery I would quit my job, buy a house in Gilbert WV, and ride myself silly.

If this is your first time, try Rockhouse first.

 

I think we are staying in Logan? Not sure dad made the reservation. I have heard nothing but good things about the area, so I'm looking forward to it.

 

Actually, being that it's your 1st time, you may want to save Rockhouse for last (it's the cream of the crop in my opinion). Start out with Water Ways or Pinnacle Creek (they are the easiest and the most sport quad friendly of the 5 trail systems), then check out Buffalo Mountain. Don't leave without trying Browning Fork (Rockhouse) though. Figure on spending a day at each trail system...

 

Buffalo Mountain is awesome. I cut a tire there last year, but I love that trail system. It has some sweet climbs.
