You are going to run into ignorant bureaucrats who think they know the law and because they've never heard of or seen anyone register their atv for the road they are going to stonewall you because there is nothing in the law that says that an atv can't be tagged and registered.

hey rangerHAAF. i live in carroll county georgia which is west of atlanta. its a pretty rural county. ive been wanting to make my atv street legal for a long time now and now that gas prices are going up even more so. you said something about insurance. all i have is homeowners insurance on my atv. is that enough or would i have to get somethin like motorcycle insurance?

 

i dont know i thikn in missouri you need lights/blinkers, speedo, mirror,plates and even then id rather stay with anti lock brakes .... ive rode on back streets seems to just lock up and slide

would be fun to get it on the road and see what jefferson/stlouis county cops would do.....

 

can you you get tags for your atv in NJ???? i hope if you can that similar terms apply.

I wish it was like that here in Amherst , NY .. I am going to call the DMV and find out.. Man I would love to ride my AC 400 to work .. The gas I would save.

 

A dead state government! Not a threath, just stateing that is the only way it would happen! We can't even drive our atv's off road here on state land let alone the road!

I spent several years looking for a loophole to get a quad street legal in indiana and I just pulled it off. It is titled and plated as a mc, and I can go anywhere.
