Not sure what you mean by Big Bear, unless you mean Cactus Flats??? You really can't ride anywhere close to Big Bear, but if I was to think of something as Big Bear, it would be the area to the northeast from Crab Flats.
What I really like about Arrowhead is the single track trails, around Pinnacles. I love the challenge of negotiating narrow trails, and the more technical nature of the trails.

I was watchin an ATV program on OLN and they had a section on Big Bear. It looked like you would be pretty close to the lake. You atleast had a view of it. It also looked like it was much flatter and more open than arrowhead. I guess its time to do some more google'n.

It is northwest of BB Lake, and a few miles in from the lake on a dirt road (that will thrash your toy hauler). Plus, there are some big hills between you and the lake, so no chance of even seeing it from that area.

Good weekend for a ride in the mountains. We are going to Lake Arrowhead (Pinnacles area) on Monday for a day ride. It should be a warm weather ride so we are going to ride to Devils Hole at Deep Creek (and jump in!).
