I did a ride in the San Bernardino Mtns. this weekend, and because of the heavy winter rains the trails were very much more technical than before. Lots of washouts, rain ruts, rock gardens, etc. Trails that were easily ridden on a 2wd just last year, now are best done on a 4X4. Personally, I hope the forest service doesn't try to "fix" them. I like it the way it is!

No! They were supposed to open in January. I will try to call and get an update.

Recon, the forest service up here in Central Ca. has rented a trail groomer and started fixing the trails that are located in the Sierra Nat'l forest located just south of Yosemite. Watch out, they might be doing where your at too. In reality, they need to fix the damage. If not, the erosion only gets worse I'd enjoy it while you can
