Default Black River Falls, WI trails

I just got info from Jackson County today that the trails are groomed and ready to go for Sat. May 14 opening.

A few of us are going Mon and Tue May 16 and 17. We plan on staying at the Russel Memorial Lake Arbutus campground. This is one of the best public campgrounds I've stayed at. And you can ride right from your campsite.

Anyone else headed to BRF around this time?

Here are a few links to the area trails.

There will be a small group of us coming over the first weekend in June. We are a little concerned that the trails mite be to muddy to ride and have fun. We dont realy want to ride in constant mud but some would be fine. Last year we stayed at Russel Memorial Campground and had a ball. We had some good mud and everyone had there turn getting stuck but that was fine. The day we left it started raining out there and the trails all flodded bad and then got shut down for a long time. We dont want that to happen so hopefully we will hit a dry weekend. Could you post on here at the end of the month and let me know if the trails are still dry and if rain is in the forcast or not? I would greatly apreciate it. We are centraly located between Hatfeild, Wisconsin and Dead Wood, South Dakota so if it looks like Wisconsin is going to be real muddy we are going to go to the Black Hills and ride. Thanks.

Hi Bigcountry,
I live about 18 miles from Barron, Cumberland. Went to Birchwood last Friday, pretty dusty. Will be doing BRF but not next w/e. Went there a couple times last year, liked it. GF lives about 25 miles away from there. Rode 2up last year this year has her own machine so should be better. Maybe wwe can hook up some time.
