Central MN , sept event for atvs
If youre looking for something to do in sept,
Granite City Trail Riders and QuadMasters is to hold a
National ATV event at the Benton County Fair Grounds, Sauk
Rapids, Minnesota.
Chuck Twedt, Pres. of the
Granite City Trail Riders ATV Club announced today that the
club is excited to be the hosts for a skills event for all
ATV riders.
„QUADMASTERS, the Ultimate ATV Challenge Tour will make a
stop in Minnesota on Saturday and Sunday September 24th and
25th 2005. This is one of ten events conducted nationally
by Quadmasters as part of their national ATV challenge
Tour. Chuck went on to say, „This is the first time in
Minnesota and all plans are to make it an annual event.
Twedt also stated that, „To our knowledge this is the
first major ATV event of this type to be held in Central
Minnesota. We are pleased that Quadmasters has chosen this
area and our club is excited to be working with the G.E.N.
Group to promote the event to the surrounding markets.
Minnesota DNR reports that there are over 200,000 ATV‚s
registered in the state, of which approximately 44% of
these are in central Minnesota where there are neither
official trails nor events. „A Wisconsin economic study
shows that that state is a big recipient of tourist dollars
from Minnesota‚s ATV owners. Metropolitan owners find it
closer to drive to Wisconsin to ride or to attend an
event.Twedt stated. „This will make a Minnesota event
within close proximity and lay the foundation to keep
tourist dollars in the local economy.
There will be eight events or challenges in different
classes. This is a skill event for utility vehicle owners.
Anyone interested in attending as a spectator or even
better as a participant can receive more information on
