Hey Grizz....

Did you happen to find out if Fort Dodge is open yet?

The misses and I went to Tama last weekend... They officially open on the 27th of August...

We had a great time and camping is available... They have a store across the street for everything.... You are able to take a trailhead to the gas station to fill.

Yeah new riding area opening up in a couple weeks...... The have a nice open field area for camping.... Its all primative for now. Next year they say water and electricity hopefully..... Its around 200 acres along the river..... Its got a nice perimeter trail and some smaller trails criss crossing it.... They are doing alot of work it seems getting it going.....

I cant get anyone from Webster County Wheelers to reply to my e-mails about the fort dodge atv park.

I heard about Tama getting a atv park. Is it just club members only or will it be open to the public in late Aug? My brothers-in-laws live in Garwin, which is like 15minutes from there, might have to bring the Grizzly to the next family meeting and try out the trails if I can.

 

Grizz- I talked to Chris B this weekend and he was in Fort Dodge last week and talked to the owner of one of tha ATV dealers down there and he said the park will be open October 1. He said he was on the Iowa OHV councile and not to get caught riding Fort Dodge before that day. He said they are confascating ALL ATVs cought on prmisis before that date and you will not get it back unless you buy it back at the police auction. Chris and I will be there October 1 waiting for them to open the gates. 500 acers till next july then 1500.

 

any one have more info on the fort dodge atv park I have emailed people in fort dodge area and no one emails back. thanks if some one could let me now

 

The Iowa OHV site sayz maybe 1 month or 2... Hope so. we will see. No clear date is mentioned...

I'm from Iowa; Go Hawkeyes! My cousins went to Buena Vista University and Luther College. My cousins live near Waterloo theres some good riding in Algona.
