Default North Jersey Riders - Question

Anybody who knows about it been to the spot in Moonachie lately? Just got a warning notice and talked to a S. Hackensack cop on Saturday (8/20/05). He says the Meadowlands Commission is putting pressure on the PD to stop the riding there - talked about impounds for returning. Nice enough guy, not a pr*ck. He waited for over 1 1/2 hours for me to come out to say this. Shame, it was a nice close place for me and my 6 year old.

Default North Jersey Riders - Question

Used to ride there all the time, cops new it, city new it, everyone new it, it was fun just to get the ride out of your system. This is getting rediculus, I wish I could meet some of these polotics and EPA, DEP in the wood s alone someday, and some of these A hole NIMBYS. They need to build an EFFIN bubble around there house. Were taring up the landscape they say, gee how bout that highway that was just widened to 3 or 4 lanes, they say were polluting the air, I guess they all have a blind eye to the amount of Diesel spuwing busses, and trucks out there, and the same people who complain probably drive some for of an oversized truck like a Ford Diesel Excursion, so the wife could drop the kids of and go pick up groceries. Lets face it are sport doesn't bring the government the money all these other things bring, so when the pollution subject comes up, were the ones to get hammered. Were never going to get anything in this state, so I'm not getting my hopes up.

Default North Jersey Riders - Question

Maybe it will calm down next year??? Hopefully. I have to disagree, I think this sport does bring in a lot of money - that's why it is legal to OWN a quad (just not ride it). Reg fees, sales tax, insurance, safety courses, FINES at $1,000 a pop. We are just not "PC" and therefore our money gets funneled into other projects and uses. And, by the way - when I say funneled - I mean misappropriated - though illegal - nobody cares when it comes to us.
