Well whats the scoop on the hot places to ride

I already visit

carnegie
Parie City
and fire roads near my cabin up highway 88
going to go to PIPI valley soon

I live in Lodi which is about 45 mins south of sac down 99

 

Hollister is another 1.5 hrs or so south of Carnegie.

yea, i have heard of there,

Im looking more mountian trials like up 88, we have a cabin in pioneer,
bear river res. has trails too

Try Elkins Flat.. Nice single trail and camping there.. Its past Jackson a wayz... Off of Omo Ranch road I think...

Also Forest Hill...

Do you know where mariposa is? if you do keep following 41 till you hit a tiny town called bootjack, nice trails up there and have never seen other riders. There is also miami creek and big sandy

Spent the weekend at Miami. It's sweet up there if you like trails. Dusty until it rains. Then it's really nice. Some snow riding if you like that sort of thing in the winter. Nice 35 mile round trip ride to a lookout tower if you like to stretch the legs some. Couple of good sections in there, but mostly Level 2 fire roads.

Camping is best at Lone Sequioa on 6S24. Take 41 10 miles north of 49 (Oakhurst), make a left and back about 1.5 miles or so. Day rides out of Kamook (7 miles north of 49, right on 6S41 about .75 miles to 6S15).

It's 1-2 levels more difficult than Hollister. Lots of roads to ride on if you have bigginners or kids. Watch the trails. Just because it's green, doesn't mean it's easy. Some are pretty nasty. But they are doing some reconstruction and major work on the trails so it will get back more in line with their rating.

I think it's a little more south than what you are looking for though. Have you checked your local Forest Service website? Pacific Southwest Region
