Hey guys... I live in Florida and the ATV riding sucks. I am looking to get a summer place in Jamestown NY. My main concern is weather there are any decent places to ride up there.
I prefer woods, trails, powerlines, mud etc. I ride Sport Atv's
Also are there many tracks? races nearby?
Thanks in advanced.
Rob
PS..if you like ATV riding, DON'T move to Florida !

That's a good place to pick if you like riding! You're right near the PA trail system in the Allegany forsest, as well as a number of privately owned trails in both PA and NY.
NY sucks too, but you wont' be far from PA which is probably one of the most ATV friendly states in the Northeast.

Must have family in the area, right? NY isn't a very atv friendly state. ajd is right though, that little corner is about the best part of the state for public riding, provided you don't mind driving to PA. There are a ton of dice/poker runs within an hour or so of there. Many of our mx tracks are limited to bikes, but there is a long running xc series over the summer that would entail many driving miles.

No offense, but why Jamestown? You need to move out to the country a bit more. Yes, there are all kinds of places to ride, just hook up with the local kids and they'll show you where to go!!!

I was looking into Pittsburgh, but found Jamestown to be even cheaper. I want a summer place where I can own a BIG victorian home with land and a huge garage/ workshop. Jamestown has places like that for around $50k. Where else are you gonna find old historic home for so cheap.
