Default between cabazon and palm springs?

take the 10 east exit hwy 111 and couple miles down the freeway goes over were i used to ride my dirt bike. it is right before you make the curve to go around the mountain. there is some sand riding and hard dirt.

does anybody know if you can still ride there?

No. The Windy Point dunes are BLM, and they closed them several years ago. I have no idea why??? You can ride a little to the west of there (Snow Creek Rd., or something like that), but much of it is private land so technically you are trespassing. However, it is not fenced or posted, so all they can do is ask you to leave.

If you are desperate for a place to ride, a friend of mine has 400 acres in the hills behind Loma Linda. You are supposed to have written permission to ride on private land that you don't own yourself (state law). He isn't likely to give you that because of liability issues, but if the Sheriff shows up, all the Sheriff can do is ask you to leave. Nobody is going to charge you with trespass.
