Ocotillo Wells
I use to ride there all the time but my information would not be of any use to you. The last time I rode there was in the mid 70's. In fact we did not even have 4 wheelers then. Back then I rode a Husqvarna 400cr. I can remember it was a great place back then but I don't know what time has done to it. Kinda gives away my age huh!
Good luck,

If you like trail riding it's AWESOME!!! We were just there two weekends ago, and though it was a bit windy we had lots of fun. Trails from evey level of rider and lots of places to go/things to see. Google the place and you'll be able to find maps. If not, then when you get there go to the ranger station and there are free maps in a coffee can outside the door. Take one and enjoy!
There's some sand, not enough to bring paddles, and lots of hard pack. The thing I like about Ocotillo is that the terrain changes. You can stay on the "established" roads for an easy ride, even to the local bar across the highway, or take something more challenging up through the hills.
