I've been to Perry before and it's not too big. Can get quite busy though. With as dry as it has been I suspect there will not be a lot of mud. Good place to go just to get a little seat time and a few hours on the machine.

was out there on saturday. Surprisingly, with 2+ inches of rain over the week, it was relatively dry. The park is extremely rutted up. Wish someone with a bobcat or something equivalent could get out there and groom it up a little. It has turned into a cool place for 4x4 quads to venture, but I want to stretch my trx450r's legs a little, and its almost too rough. 24/40 hwy to 59 hwy(look for lake perry signs). Go north on ferguson rd. Then go west on 39th and it will take you right to the atv park. Looking to get out to deepwater soon. Anyone been out there recently? What are the conditions?

I am a park ranger for the COE at Perry. We have made some changes to the area which includes new regulations which will hopefully make your experience at our trails safer. Please read the rules at the trail head before you head out. In addition, we are closing the trail when we have high water saturation in the soil. This closing policy has been implemented to reduce rutting and erosion. Please check our website's daily lake information (http://www.nwk.usace.army.mil/pe) or call our office number (785) 597-5144 and listen to our general lake information message.

*On Sat. May 10th we will be holding a trail work day. We are planning on working on trails and perimeter fencing. If you are interested in volunteering, please call our office to sign up. We will plan on starting in the a.m. and then when we are done the trails will be opened to riding. The more volunteers the faster the trails will open. Be safe out there!
