NH Riders Need opinions
#1
My wife has found a campground that is near the Pisgah State Forest in NH. Here is their website Looks like they have a bit of trails and whatnot. My question is has anyone been there? ARe the trails any good? She wants to go there after our baby is born because of the pool and other things like a toilet that will make camping easier for her and our newborn. My question is, is it worth it to register in NH for this place and the Pisgah state forest. If there are more trails up around that area let me know also (Hinsdale Are preferably, its only 1 hour and change away) I'm fine with staying in MA but there really isnt any place to camp and ride at an official campground. The few state forests around here have few trails and poor accomidations, I can get to more by leaving my yard.
Any help would be appreciated.

I'd call and see if they allow ATV's in the campground....................something tells me they don't.
I live in Ma (On the NH border) and regestered my Quad in NH.
NH has way more places to ride, there is even a new place opening up in Milford NH called Mile Slip Land. From what I've read it's going to be huge, but it looks like it won't be ready this year. The Milford Conservation Commission decided that before the trails are reopened to ATV's:
1. The wetland crossings will be permitted by DES and constructed.
2. The parking lot for vehicles bringing in ATV's will be relocated to an area away from homes.
3. Rules will be posted. One, possibly two, kiosks will be constructed with rules and maps of designated trails.
4. Patrols will be scheduled for education of riders and reporting of infractions.
The massive rain we had didn't help things either.

When she emailed them asking about the sites, this was their reply. "The campground has about 150 acres you can ride on after you sign the ATV
waiver. Also you can trailer them about 5 miles and ride in the state park."
-That park you were talking about sounds pretty sweet too, not too much further away then this one for me.

Hey guys, this might be a little late but what the heck. I live in Winchester right near Pisgah State Park. The campground is ok, but small. Pisgah has decent riding however I thought you all should know that there's an even bigger less mainstream OHRV maintained trail system 5 minutes from Pisgah. From Rt. 10 Take 119 East and turn left onto Forest Lake Road. There's a parking area behind the cemetary its a gravel road. There's a sign that says "No Parking" that used to be enforced when that area was used as a construction sandpit. It's no longer being used commercially and the town lets us ride in the sandpits. Behind the sandpits there's an OHRV trail thats about 18mi. Much better ridding than Pisgah in my opinion. Happy ATVing!

NHoutlander, Hello, the place u mentioned near Pisgah, is it opened this year? What kind of riding is it, technicle-tuff, or family friendly?
Im hearing there are alot of places closed due to all the rain we've had.
How far is that area from Merrimack-Nashua area? Im new to NH so I have no idea where Pisgah is.
Thanks
Dan

Thanks, I was just checking out the website for pisgah.
The place near Pisgah is the technical place? the place on Forest Lake road.
Pisgah is more for family?
Ill be into checking them both out sometime this summer. The 2 best places by me are closed for the season due to water damage, only other places are illegal.
