Angels Camp/Bear Valley CA areas to ride?
#2
Go to bear river resort on hwy 88. It's one of the few places that you can ride your quad right out of the campground. Take the trail to squaw ridge. It will take you up to over 7000ft of elevation, a very beautiful ride.

On your way up stop at the Stanaslauis (sp) National Forest office and get a forrest map and a motor vehicle restriction map. This tells you where you can and can't ride. You may need a Tahoe National Forest map if you get close to Hwy 88.
Have fun!

Continue up hwy 4 from angels camp and go until you get to Dorrington. Go past Dorrington about 4 or five miles and turn left on one of the forest roads. The area is called Black Springs OHV with over 100 miles of roads and trails.

Thanks guys...quick question...do I need a California "Green Sticker"? I see it mentioned on the USFS website. If I have a current Oregon registration is that enough?
Thanks again

Thanks again for the info. I'll ask about stickers when I stop at the USFS office.

I don't think I would ask, they may tell you no. I would just ride and deal with it if someone asks. I have spent a bunch of time in the forest and never had my sticker checked.
Post a report when you return, have a blast the weather looks good this weekend here.

Got helmets and spark arrestor. I think I'll "quietly" do a little detective work concerning the sticker. I'm not going to drive 550 miles and not go riding.
