Hey everyone! How's everybody been? Not too good here. Suffered a bad wreck Thanksgiving Day and will not be able to ride for a least 2 months. Jumped this hill and the quad got sideways in the air, when it landed it threw my right leg off the peg and under the tire. This resulted in my knee being slammed onto the peg where it cut into my inner knee all the way to the joint. My leg and knee basiclly brought the quad to a skidding stop. I got the quad off my leg and tried to stand with no luck, I looked and realized I was in trouble.Luckily my nephews were there and they rushed me to local emergency room. The doctor took one look at it and said that they would have to send my downtown to a specialist. So, I was transported to Good Sam hospital in Cincinnati where they performed orthapedic surgery on it that night. I had to stay in the hospital for 3 days. I'm starting to get around on cruches now but won't be riding again for awhire. I think I have to go to therapy and crap. Of course as you all know I own my own sign shop and I'm one man crew, so this really sucks! Well I hope everybody else is enjoying their holidays better than me, keep in touch.

Ouch, buddy! Hope you're doing better! Are there going to be anymore SOAR meetings this year? I missed the first 2, but hope you haven't left me off of the list, or kicked us 4 (wife, daughter, her beau, and myself) out of the club!
Well, anyway, keep your chin up, and think about all the fun you'll have next year!

I separated my shoulder on Labor Day weekend. It must be a holiday weekend jinx! I hope you recover quickly and completely. I intend to send Christmas cards to all SOAR members soon. Inside will be the club listing so that everyone else can do the same if they choose. At the present time. I'm playing it by ear as far as riding until spring. If we get a weekend of nice weather, I'll probably be riding. I'll post here before I go.

Take care and Happy Holidays to all!

Wow, that sucks! What did it all tear up? My friend did something pretty similar over the summer. He's a BMX racer and was screwing around on his track in his backyard when he bothced a landing and drove his knee straight into the sprocket! We had to haul him almost 10 miles to the nearest hospital. It looked like someone took a powersaw to his leg. Makes me quesy just thinking about it.
Hope rehab goes smoove, knee PT is always the worst (part. torn MCL in '97). They do give ya some pretty nice painkillers though! ;^}

The shoulder is fine. I'll never have the strength I had before though. I just have to live with it. I'll be weather watching all winter. If a warm weekend comes about, I'm game for playing in the mud at Bigrock.

When will deer hunting season be over?
