Hey, just wanted to let everyone know that the Marienville trail will be opening back up on December 20th. I'll be looking to get a ride going the weekend before Christmas. I live a mile from the trail, I can help anyone out with lodging if needed. It will be a nice excuse to let the wife do the last Christmas shopping by herself! I'll include a link to the web page for more info and maps that you can download.

The trail system pretty much has it all. From wide open dirt roads to tight woods to rocky hills. It's a decent riding place. THe best loops are the bike trail, and the atv/dirt bike loop that starts in Pigs Ear. If you look on the map, It'll show ya where Pigs Ear is. The Timberline part of the trail is about 70% dirt roads. It's a nice place to take the wife and kids or just to putt around on. Not alot of hills, just a nice cruzin trail.

Great riding area. Winter riding is fun, you will use 4 wheel drive more, especially in the deeper snow. Note the bike trail is not open in the winter.

I think that note was left over from the last year about the dirt bike trail. I don't know. I think it was opened up last year. I'll have to wait until the 20th and see.

I would like to go to Marienville sometime, are there noise restrictions/spark arrestor requirements? I have a Banshee with Toomey T-5's, It's not too loud, but louder than stock.

Thanks,
Lars

I've seen 4 strokes with big guns and other aftermarket exhausts there. I don't think you'll have a problem with the toomeys. Every 250r I've ever seen on the trail didn't have stock exhaust on it.
