Pismo is about 4 hours from you. If you go you can drive on the beach to your riding spot. Recomend 4 wheel drive. Also pay attention to tide tables, they will tell you tide at gate. Hollister Hills is a great spot and is closer to you. Also Hungry Valley is on I 5 on the other sideof bakersfield good spot. Go on to Off Highway Vehicle web site and will tell you good spots. You can still ride in alot of places in Calif. for now. Good luck and ride safe.

@420hollisterrancher - have you had any luck getting out the Hollister, Pismo, or any of the great rides up in the Sierras? With Hollister so close you must get out there as there are many trails of all difficulties. Very nice views from the upper ridges. My son and I camped there mid week this summer and there was nobody there. We say nobody on the trail and maybe a dozen in the various campgrounds and store area.
