State highway 242 is north of the Woodlands a couple of miles, it goes from Interstate 45 east to highway 59 around splendoria.
the San Jac river is about 3 miles east of I 45, we used to park under the bridge and ride to highway 59, about 25 miles or so, BUT, last I heard, local LE had posted to state property at the bridge and was enforcing it. at this moment the river is too high to ride anyway,
I work in sugerland, but I dont know of anywhere around here to ride, seems like the best place in the Houston area is over in Crosby at Highway 90.

I would like to try to make it. Are you going to park by the lake? If so the Dam side or the other side? I have a blue Kawasaki Bayou 220 and drive a 98 tan Z71 x-cab. If I show I will not be there at 8am (too early for me). I would probably be there around 11am or noon. Who else will be there? What cars, trucks or trailers should I look for to find you?
I do not get too crazy either, I am 29, my bayou and I have its limits. The first trip out after I got my bayou my friend rolled it on the big hillclimb at Rocky Ridge. He was relatively ok and so was the quad but I was not too happy about it. Maybe I can race against one of your banshees and see how bad I loose. lol

So far looks like maybe just me and a friend will come. We will be in a 2000 Dodge Ram (red) with a green wolverine and white/black banshee and we will prolly arrive around 8-9am at Rocky Ridge and park down near the lake by the road.
If our other friend comes then we will have one dirtbiker with us.
Is the plan still on for saturday or sunday, whats the deal?

It's always open, no gate at all. Fat Man or his wife may or may not be there, if they are there they will find you and ask for the money if not we just ride. We ride 24-7 and even camp in the area.
From Houston take US90 east past B.W. 8 to the Crosby/Highlands (FM2100) exit. GO right (south) thru Barret Station to the Dirt bike track(apox 1.5 miles). There @ the track is a dirt road to the right, it runs down beside the track, back past a pipe yard. Just past the yard is a cattle guard and the road gets rough ( its hard below all the water, cars make it daily). About .3 miles ahead is the parking area(a field across from an old chicken barn). IF there is an old white Chevy PU or a Yellow Foreman in the area it's the owner.
Hope this helps.

Could I get everyone that wants to go to Rocky Ridge for a ride this weekend to email me so we can organize this somewhat? Time/day/what you drive and ride and where you will park, then we can get this together.
Just click on the email link below, thanks.
