I have heard that there are a lot of good trails to ride there. Are they pretty technical? I'm looking for something with some hills, rocks to negotiate, etc. Does it cost anything to ride there?

edit: Just found something about the Turtle Ridge ORV park, for 15 bucks and the cost of the ferry ride it looks worth checking out. I'm still interested in hearing from anyone who has ridden there.

Its very techincal in many spots. I rode there 2-3 years ago and only managed to do 100 miles in three days of riding my 4x4 ATV. Lots of mud/rocks ect.

Go to www.atvoffroad.net if you wants LOTS of info for DI riders.

It's the only trail in the whole state where the maps says it's for advanced riders. I haven't been there yet but have been on a couple of small trails just west of the island. Bay City Lake is right by the casino in Hessel.
