Default Walker Valley OK for 2x4 quads??

Hi,
Just got a 04' 300EX and we have a cabin really close to Walker Valley ORV park. I've been riding on DNR land near our cabin but really want to explore WV park. A coworker who has been to WV several times tells me you need a 4x4 quad to ride the quad trails there. Is this true? Will my 300EX do justice there or am I looking at getting stuck most of the time (summer time? wet season?)

Looking for feedback on how well the Sportrax quads do in this park or if its geared too high and lacking 4x4. Its a great fast bike and seems to handle most types of trails I am interested in riding (used to ride quads and bikes 20yrs ago and just got back into it).

Thanks

I ride Walker alot. You'll be fine there with a 2x4. My son rides a Raptor and my daughter's boyfreind rides a kfx 700. There are some challenging spots, but you can get thru them.

I ride three wheelers at Walker Valley.

If you want to challenge yourself, Tag along with Dazeys and his crew for a day in November or March It is alot of fun and hard work.

Lots of good riding up there for sure.

Give a yell when you are headed up there to ride, I bet a good number of folks from the PSAR thread will join you.

I have ridden Walker with my 450R and love the challenging trails.

The only thing I don't like about Walker is when it is pouring down rain. I rode there once in the worst rain I've ever ridden in.
It's a great place to ride and whoever tells you that you need a 4x4 quad to ride Walker, well, those guys must not be able to ride very good!

Like Maggiesboy said, check out the Puget Sound Area Riders thread and you'll probably get others to join you when you ride Walker.
