Just got my new Property Value Notice , I just hope my taxes go down as much as the appraised value did

Well the LT. called me back today & I gave her my account of the pig incident LOL, she said yes it's a little disturbing the kids were there!! I told her I DID NOT ask him to go take care of it ect. so we'll see what happens! Everyone is very shocked that he shot it so many times!!

 

If there were any naked pics of you, you wouldn't even have the four friends you have!

 

Ahhh, you must have missed the announcement a few months ago. It was stated that even thought the assessed value of homes and property is dropping, they WILL NOT lower your taxes.
I am 100% serious, this is not a joke.

And as an FYI, the county gives you an "assessed" value, not an "appraised" value.
There is a difference.

Ok, now I remember that joke, lower your property value but not your taxes, thanks for reminding me. On my notice they do call it appraised value, but wether appraised or assessed, it's still low low low I guess King County Dept of Assessments thinks they're in the appraising business

Sounds like it's time for a tax revolt in King County. Don't the voters approve a certain number of mills per thousand dollars of assessed value? Can anyone say "Class Action" and Vote The Rascals Out"?

At any rate, yesterday was a great day. Daughter and SIL came out and spent the day, grandkids were over, son and DIL stopped in for awhile, BBQ with all the good stuff from the garden, just in general a super day. Kind of cool out and the wind was blowing but we stayed on the lee side of the house so it was good.

Just 55 this morning and the wind is still blowing, chilly out there when I was turning on the garden water. It's dried out enough that the combines were running again yesterday and now dew this morning. Maybe they will be able to start by nine or a little later today.

The story of the wayward pig continues, my question is: Who got the pig? One little smack with a car and six bullets wouldn't ruin all the meat but did anyone know how to butcher it?

Suns about to come up, gotta go watch the show.
