NEW Puget Sound/Seattle/Northwest area riders MEET HERE!!! thread
Jack of some trades, master of none Can't afford to have the cheapest tradesmen work on my house plus I only trust Rod and I can't even afford his gas to my place, so I'll just continue to learn as I go
Good Morning PSAR!
Another fine day in God's Country.
It's 35 degrees and looking good outside. We've been having a heat wave.
Sounds like things are improving for Hap, good to get full time that's for sure. Hope you guys looking for work find it soon. Have a young man scraping and working on the eves of the house getting it ready to paint. He has a new baby and really needs the work. Don't like doing painting this time of year but the prep work can be done. He's been telling me there is just no work available for general labor in the building trades now, at least not in this area.
I want to get a couple of coats of good, oil base, primer on the eves and then next spring we're going to put metal over the whole thing. Found a metal rolling place down near Salem, Or. that can roll out the kind of shapes I need to get the job done. Tired of this scraping and painting thing. House is nearly a century old and it has some wood damage in a few spots. Have to cut them out and replace but that's going to be a small project. There is vinyl siding, heavy gauge stuff, over the original siding. It has proven to be outstanding for durability. Wish I could get vinyl that would fit the eves.
Nuff of all that stuff. Maybe I can get Happa to come do some of this stuff.
Have a relaxing day.
Mike
