There were a lot of people like that there over the weekend, so you certainly won't be alone. I didn't start riding motocross until last year and now I'm completely addicted, so be careful!!
Here's a small video of me just hitting the 2 rhythm sections there, and a longer video that will show you the atmosphere of the track.

All ditch riding is illegal this time of year in Southern Minnesota. You can go to http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/ohv for a map of all public riding areas in the state.

Thanks Brian.
I've been to that site many times and it looks like the closest trails for me are in Appleton or Hinckley. Not exactly two places that I can go to for a quick ride.
Do you know why the ditch riding is illegal right now and when it will open it up? I assume it is because the farmers are trying to harvest the long grass or something?

Yup, it is open to all riders ... just $15. I saw two utility quads go through there this last weekend. I guess it was really wet back in the harescramble area, and it's certainly tight. Some areas are closed to all ATVs, because some are just single track for the bike guys...

I don't go to Tri-County a ton anymore. I mainly go there because I have a friend that lives across the street and he has a nice tabletop there to jump...
Here's a few photos of the pit.... http://www.kliers.net/smnatvr/...s/tricounty/index.htm
There are a few mud holes after it's been raining, and some hill climbs. You will be done with the trail after about 10 minutes, so I'm not sure if you would find it fun or not. It would be an acceptable place for "test and tune" since it's so close, though.
