Furthest you have hauled you ATV to go riding
I have gone from Minneapolis MN to Florence OR 2 times to ride the Oregon dunes 1900 miles each way and also have been to St. Anthony 2 times 1300 miles each way. This year we are going to take the sand tires off and go to Colorado. I strongly suggest that if you can swing it you should load up and see some other parts of the country that we live in, there really are some beautiful places to see.

Well the closest place for me is an hour drive up into the mountains (just south of Yosemite.) Farthest was a 4hr drive (well, for the driver...I was kicked back in the back seat.) Average of all the riding spots I go to is probably 2.5 hrs of driving with trips running about 3 hours total.
I say if you have the time and money do it. Hell, if I won the lottery I'd be touring the states.

If you can afford it, go where ever you want. I live in NW Washington and one day will go to Silver Lake, in Michigan. That is like a 4 day drive.I want to go to every real sand dune in the country. So if you are crazy, lock me up, too.
I have driven to St. Anthonies, furthest so far. It was 800 and some odd miles. It was a long drive but on the second day of driving, I had no memory of the road. It was all good riding.</end quote></div>
OMG why would you want to drive that far to ride a 2 bit sand pile? its only like 400 acre's of look out that pickup truck all most ran over you . I'm like 2 hr from the place and after 4 hr of riding I'm ready to go home.
i herd it was voted the 7th best place in the country to ride sand ,seams to me that means there are 6 places way better.

I've gone from mid-Michigan to the upper peninsula (UP), near the Soo, and then on a different day gone from there to the western side of the UP, almost to Wisconsin. Google maps say it's about 450 miles and an 8 hour drive total, but I think it's closer to nine hours. I usually just go about 120 miles and it takes 2 hours.
