It`s usually the beginning of May but is a little different every year. When I get a schedule I`ll post it.

If you like mud it`s the ride to be on. It is one of my favorite rides been riding it at least once a year since 1990.

Preliminary dates are set at 5/5/2001 for the spring ride, 7/28/2001 for the summer ride and 9/29/2001 for the fall ride. All of which are on a Saturday this year. Yes it gets very very muddy. Even 4x4's get stuck. Sometimes there are some bottlenecks, it is usually dirt bikes stuck or walking there bikes through the mud or 4x2's trying to go through a hole that would challeng a 4x4.

Its a great run. I have done it twice and can't wait for this years. There are several bottlenecks along the way but it just requires some creative riding. If you like to go fast, you may get a little aggravated when you get behind someone on a 4x4 out on a Sunday drive but with a little patience, an opportunity to get by usually comes along. I have seen some people say "If you don't have a 4x4, don't show up". This is a crock of bull. You just need to pick your lines through the mud holes carefully and ride a little more aggressive in other areas. There are 4 stops along the way where you roll the dice for prizes and can buy a beverage. One tricky part I saw a few years ago was the river crossing. It can get deep in parts and the water was flowing a little fast. I saw a couple of quads get washed downstream after they flipped over and on the shore was about 8 or 9 various quads and dirtbikes that didn't make it either.
All in all, it is a great ride and I am looking forward to this years with my new Raptor.

No pre-registering but the lines aren`t too bad until close to start time which is noon, last minute people. If you get there early you should not have any major problems. I wish I were going, I`d show you ropes. HTH
