This atver/snowmobiler didnt stay home. Four of us went out Saturday. 19 below when we left at 8AM....rode 306 miles and were back at the cabin by 8PM. Some of the best riding I have ever done!
The trails in the Emily and Outing area were nothing short of fabulous. We saw MANY areas that I will have to get back and check out on my quad. As you probably know, we cannot ride ATVs on snowmobile trails in Minnesota so I do a lot of "scouting" for ATV riding areas while on my sled.
I hope you guys had as great of a day as we did!

I guess you could say we didnt let any moss grow under us. That also included 3 gas stops, 1 lunch stop and 1 warm up stop at a shelter we came upon that still had a fire going in the fireplace. The four of us that went also ride ATVs together and have had a couple similar "marathon" ATV rides. Our longest to date was in 1995. We left camp at 8:45 AM fully loaded and gassed. After trail riding all day and becoming slightly disorientated after dark (lost) we found ourselves far from home. We were riding on fumes after exhausting all of our reserves when we finally reached camp at 2:30 AM. We had traveled only 110 miles but much of it was through northern Minnesota swamps and bogs. Needless to say we didnt put many miles on the following day.
The first purchase I made when I returned home that year was a nice new Garmin.
