Yes you can show your suv reg and insurance and they will give you a pass. As long as you show current reg and insurance for a vehicle, you can get a pass. They give you a pass with a big pin. You can get yourself one of those hunting permit holders and put the pass in that and hang it from your neck, thats what I do. But I usually keep it inside my jacket so it doesn't get mud all over it. I have a dirty habit of hitting all the mud holes I come across and that mud is sticky and nasty!

Kodiak is right. I forgot that when I got my pass I hadn't recieved my atv reg from the state yet. I used the reg card and insurance off of my streetbike. No questions asked. I added my atv reg when my gf got her pass.

Default Reading Anthracite

Finally got a permit and was thinking about going this Saturday. Where do you guys park? I was going to go to the St. Clair area. Either off of Mt Laffe Road or Burma.

Thanks

We parked off Burmas Rd when we went, but I still haven't been to the Darkwater Rd side yet (St Clair I think it is). I need to go again, maybe Sat (tomorrow) I'll see if anyone can make it last minute. It's been a month for me since I went riding there and am wanting to go.

My friend rides his raptor 660 everywhere on the property. We rode with a bunch of guys on bikes last Tuesday. My friend is bringing his daughter on her raptor 80 next week. So, yeah the area is good for just about any quad.

And if you are into the hill climbing, you'll find this place to be very cool. There are some very wide and long trails to ride, just watch out for the rocks if you ride fast. If you do a search on you tube, I think for "anthracite" you will find some videos for sport quads doing hill climbs.

Definitely watch for rocks on some of the tight trails. Skids are a plus. I bent a rim this past Tuesday. Switched to steel rims now.

In case anyone else needs a permit, when I called the Pottsville office they said they require a valid DL along with registration (or proof of ownership [title/MCO/bill of sale] for all of us who refuse to register in our home state) & insurance on the vehicle in which you'll be riding on their property. 200 Mahantongo St., Pottsville, PA17901 - (570) 622-5150 and ask for Donna.
