No, some is watershed....

Here is a pic of all the places i rode up there... You can actually ride from trevorton to st. claire, i never did that, just from trevorton to centralia and St. Claire to Centralia..
It's an unbelievable amount of land to ride on, 18,000 acres, you can ride at Hazleton also..
The red line is a route i mapped on google earth to the lofty tunnel, it's going to be my next trip when i get to st. claire again, it's a tunnel that goes under I-81, if you zoom in that area in google earth, there is a pic of it also..

got to love GPS

How long is the tunnel to ride through?

We're going riding there this Friday. Group ride is scheduled with the PA group. I think they said they are riding on the other side of 61 this time, I havent been on that side yet. I want to go on this trip cause it's been a long time since I've been back there (August 09). You able to ride this Friday slyder?

man, short notice, i belong to that forum and didnt see a post for this friday. I'll try to make it, i'll know more tomorrow.

As for the tunnel, i never rode to it yet so i dont know the mileage to it, but i'm guessin around 40 miles or so round trip. The tunnel only goes under I-81 so it would only be that length and i'm not sure if we can ride under it. I heard if the water is high you definately can't.
my email no1tsmitty@comcast.net
i would really like to ride with you guys, i need more info on the time and where you park

Group ride is not posted on any other site, it gets sent via email from a group of people that ride atv's and live in PA. They schedule ATV and some have dirt bikes, rides for every month. The ride dates are always on a Friday at the end of each month. They are meeting tommorrow morning around 10am at the Walmart on 61 in St Clair, probably be parked on the right side rear or the rear of the lot. The plan was to ride opposite side of 61 from what I heard. 10 am tomorrow is too early for me, takes me 2 hours to drive there from NJ which means I would have to get up early and leave by 8 am if I wanted to be there for the 10 am meet time. Takes me a couple of hours after I wake up for my back to stop throbbing. I have back problems and get serious pain along with in my neck area, so pain killers take time before I am able to feel better. I really would love to try and make this ride tomorrow as I ahve been itching to ride for sometime now and it has been awhile since I've been back to RAC to ride (Aug 09). I told them, if I do feel good and go I wouldn't be there until at least 12pm ish. Sometimes I made it early there to meet up with the group in the past and got there by 10 am, but lately my sciatica has been bothering me for the last 3 months and got really painful at one point.

I'll send you a PM Slyder with one of the guys from the group who orchestrates the group ride dates every year with his cell number. I'll text him and tell him to keep an eye out on his cell tomorrow for a non familar number calling him incase you decide you can find time to hook up with the group.

yes, there was 4 of us, we were just there yesterday and rode 99 miles. We parked at burma road, rode to the lofty tunnel, which we finally made to and was freakin awesome, then to centralia, then to mt. carmel to refuel, and then back. We left about 10:30 and got back about 9:30, a great ride! There were 3 other we ran onto on the trail at the beginning of the ride who were from Jersey and didnt know their way around and decided to ride along, we all had a great time.
