I thought I should post a new message about the Silverlake ride in Mi next weekend. I added a few names and I also added a few small maps from the highway to the campground (for those of us that are camping together at Hideaway) If anyone else is interested in joining us there, or would like a better map/directions please email me.

There will be a few prizes for the longest jump and the longest wheelie on saturday for those of you that would like to join in on the fun. There is also 2 trail systems approx an hr away for those of you that would like to trail ride also....

I am soooo excited about this up comming weekend. I ordered a set of paddles just for the trip, (Hauler's 8, on Douglas .190) from Rocky Mountan. I hope they get here before I leave on Thursday evening. 'Da wife and I will be driving straight through Thursday night to Grand Rapids (actually I'll be doing all the driving) to pick up another couple Friday morning (they dont have ATV's, my wife will share hers). So I'm estimating we'll all be arriving at SL around noon, Friday.

Does anyone know if there race fuel will be readily availabe up there? I'm running Phillips 66 110 OCT. and was just wondering if I should'nt borrow a coulpe extra 5 gallon jugs and fill 'em all up here, or if I could get something comprable up there?

I guess I'll see everybody Firday?

Jerry: I am very much looking forward to next weekend. You can look for us at the dunes on friday or we will get together at the campground fri night. You will be able to get race fuel by the entrance to the dunes from what I have been told. I do not know the price or the brand though. sorry

Hi, me and my friend have been looking for some dunes to ride are quads in for a while. We live in Ct and there is no place i can really open up my banshee and i was wondering if silver lake is worth the trip. Also are there designated campgrounds that i would need a resevation for and how much does it cost to ride there. Thanks

 

Well if you ask me silver lake dunes were somewhat worth the trip, it wouldve been alot nicer if i couldve ridden for more than the 1hours and a half that i got to ride, but oh well.. i saw u b370, u were going to the beach, i was sittin there broke down on my blue lt250ri got towed out by some guy in a trcuk, who then helped me for about 2 hours trying to get me back on the dunes, then when i got home i was going to drain the radiator fluid to take off head, and guess what there was like 5 oucneesa of radiator fluid... hmm problem, i think so... Oh well i had fun racin up test hill and drack racing along the beach.. did ya see the quadzilla 500, the white and blue one,... that thing was fast... will i go back?? as soon as i get the LT fixed im going back!! everyone there i met was nice.. it waaas a good time , much better if i coudlve rode more, but hey at least i got to go...

Is anyone making a recent trip to the DUNES? If so let me know, my family and some friends are going August 13-17, there's about 30 of us. It's a blast, if you haven't been, go! Also at the local
sand-drag strip that weekend is 'Sandblast Weekend', so those races will be cool. Just another incentive.

AHHHH i am so upset, ya know how i was sayin that i messed u[p my engine at silver lake last weekend, well i thought i did, i was at home inspecting it, and found the head gasket in my exhaust. AHHHHHHHH that makes me sooo made, i bet duneland wouldve had one in stock too, and i can change it in like 20 minutes... man that really upsets me,


FREDDIE: MY MAN i think maybe ill just have to convince my mom to let me goto the dunes that weekend, thatd be cool id proly go late friday and leave sunday afternoon, but maybe not, i dont know.. ill talk it over, where are you staying??
