I'm thinking- it looks close enough to the Benson Mountain trail - which should connect to the trunkline somewhere- around wakefield pond maybe? can you get to webster lake?
Wakefield pond road (which is really a dirt trail) will feed you onto the Munyon trail around wakefield pond- then just follow that trail to the grid (both gas & power). If you can get to webster lake- then you can get to the grid where I am- via all dirt roads or trails that are seldom used by anyone. I see a lot of kids in jeeps - and a rogue hiker every now & then.
We have to figure out a connector- then I can get all over central mass via my back yard !!!
troyboy68 is good at this- cause he'll run down hikers (and dogs) he's a mean bastard!- I've seen him do it

I think I found it- Cruff Rd in Ri to Buck Hill Rd then a couple hundred feet to Benson Mountain Trail- Cruff is all dirt I think and that will put you right on wakefield pond- which is where we usually meet on our atv's (I ment to say wakefield pond earlier, not willson)
I was thinking of a different spot in RI near me.

Well maybe I dont have to do webster lake. I think I know how to get to the three corners (MA, RI, CT) off the SNETT. Just need to find a trail south down the west side of walum and prob can hook into buck management area down to where you ride.

Hey beergut, how's the weather up there?

yes- you can! troy figured this out. We actually went to the tri-state cement post where you can stand in all three states at once- we found on a trail.

,, but i got your trail! and yes Cuff road is part of it,about half way down coming from wilson pond you gotta take a right, its right after the wire thats crossing the cart road, follow that for about half a mile maybe 1 mile and that will bring you to the main entrance at Buck hill mang. go straight up that dirt road, you'll come to a gate and signs saying no atvs!!
ya right,, theres a small trail to the right it goes around the gate, its kinda hidden but you'll see it,then go straight half mile, bear left and go about 3,4 miles that will take you all around douglas state forest/wallum/the railroad tracks ect. ect.,AND if you bear to the right a half mile after that gate, that'll take you to highway 100 in r.i,, and if you criuse on the side of 100 for 7/10 of a mile, theres your power lines,(just another way to get there, but im to paranoid to cruise that hihway 100, i need to find a trail that connects on that side,,or i just might make one) i hope this helps guys,, and lets all meet up and learn all these trails together

Yah generally i don't go on the hiking trails except for nights and during winter and that's really the only way I can get all the way to the SNETT or to Walum via Schmidt (sp) trail across rt 16. On my side of 16 we got the mid-state trail that connects into the trails around Ridgeroad and the backside of the res with lots of trails off it. Generally if its a day ride non winter we will take gas line (hard slow riding) up to meet the mid-state trails that have a bunch of riding near Webster/oxford between the res and nimmunk pond rod and gun club.
During winter so much faster as I can shoot across the lake thru the trails and be on walum very fast avg like 25-30mph in the trails.
So on the SNETT where i come out I can cross over to the walum hiking trails or i can ride south and can make it all the way down to RI before it gets sort of filled with houses and then it gets all bumpy about max iv gone. Or go north for always before houses.
