I'm in for whatever is decided.

Hey guys, I have a question and I know it's a little out of place here but I already tried posting a question over in the Suzuki area and all I heard was ..............:CRICKETS:..............

Do you guys use dealer service ? I mostly want to service it myself but I don't want to have problems getting Suzuki warranty work in the future... It's due for the initial 100 mile service and I'm thinking of just buying a shop manual and going for it... Your thoughts ?

I looked for your question in the zuki forum- didn't see it. found the one about your inner fender-

For the typical maintenance- I do it all myself. However, the 100 mile service I would take to the dealer. Sometimes valve lash needs adjusting or the efi tps needs to be tweaked- it's shouldn't cost too much- you also might void your warranty if you don't have it dealer serviced every 6 months or whatever it dictates under your warranty- read the fine print.

dealer / factory warranties are picky about stuff like that, especially on a new motor.

Yeah, BG sorry for the confusion. That is the only post I made in the Zuk forum. I was just using the lack of replies on that thread as my excuse to post OFF TOPIC in here about this question.

My 05 700 KQ was a battery killer- even left me stranded when the battery was dead and manually pulling it over didn’t start it - had to walk 4 miles back home and grab my truck and another battery . My tps sensor would constantly need adjustment also. It would start hard, or require a few seconds of cranking before starting. I think there was an issue with the efi draining the battery even when the ignition was off- But that was in 2005- I’d think Suzuki would’ve fixed those problems by now.

If you search the forum for “kq 700 problems” I’m sure you’ll find’em- these were common issues with the 05-06 KQ. Haven’t heard anything about the new AXI-

You can buy a whole bag of those fender clips from ebay on the cheap- I even drill holes and use them on my outty to keep plastic from rattling. Always good to have a few in the trunk-

Yeah, I did read about those battery issues while I was doing my pre-purchase research. Hopefully they are fixed by now.

I will get some plastic clips too. Maybe if I quit burying it over the fenders the plastic will stay where it belongs...

Cool videos. Thanks for putting all the effort into it.

Thanks for the advice about the service on my quad as well guys. I dropped it off tonight and they're taking care of it tomorrow then delivering it back to the house. I'm expecting to pay $250-$275 for this one then I'll do all the future work myself.
