30 bucks in MA per year for out-of-staters...yikes
Don't think I'll be able to get reg. by next weekend though, so I think Oct. Mt. is a no go for me. If you head up there a bunch I'll probably spring for the reg, but if you go to NH more, I think I'd rather spend the $$ for that one.

Nice to meet you the other night. Had a great time and glad you found out about the secret key chain issue.
If you're only going to buy one Reg, NH is the one to buy. It will give you more options and some of them are much closer than those in western MA. October Mt. is nice but not worth the reg.
LMFT is closer to you. Ride it once and you will be heading back at least once a month. Plus there's a bunch of other areas up north I'm hoping to see some of this summer!

Hi Sal.
Best way to get invited to some of the more private rides is to show up to a public ride and meet some of the people. CNC posted a ride at October Mountain next Saturday, you can see the details in the October Mountain thread.
You will need MA registration. Maybe I'll see ya up there!

You're spot on with the NH thing, I think I'm going to do it ASAP as it is looking like I'll be getting up there sooner than I initially anticipated. Seems too that the majority of my MA riding will be off the grid, but time will tell. I hope the offer still stands on the trailer slot? I am going to be looking into one soon as well, just have to recover from the shed I just put in.

Read this chit.
I wanna ride!
I wanna ride!
Screw NETRA- they are pretty much anti-atv / pro-dirtbike only.
I've sent them letters- never gotten any reply back.

, I hear ya bg. I thought it was interesting in a twisted way. I had no idea you could not even legally sell a atv/whatever in ma. if it is louder than 98db. Some of my friends from NETRA are going to the meeting in Boston tomorrow, but I dont expect to hear any good news from them.

Read the website Jgar linked to...You will see that they are actively lobbying to change the wording of the laws to throw ATV's under the bus while excluding dirtbikes from the same restrictions.
Also read their words closely: "Mandatory saftey training for dirtbikes will have a major impact on attenance at sanctioned events..." Thus, they are advocating skimping on safety for the sake of event turnout. Seeing that they charge upwards of $45 for each event, they are making a fortune and using their profits to pay for a lobbyist to lobby against ATVs.....These people are the enemy!
NETRA is not for trail riders as their name implies....they are for dirtbikes. Nothing wrong with that, I just want to have nothing to do with them or supporting them in any way.
I, for one, want the laws to stay the way they are so they apply to dirtbikes, as well. Off roading is over here in MA. Why let one group get special treatment?

Wow, do you make these purchases that impulsively ? I'm surprised the topic didn't come up last weekend...You say "new 2009"... Is that a leftover showroom new or just new to you ???
How long before you get the skids, tires, lift kit, winch, etc ???
